Meet the Administrative Support Staff of Shor, Levin & DeRita

Joanne has been employed with Shor, Levin & DeRita, P.C., since October 1993. She has worked as legal secretary to Joseph DeRita, Esquire, since her hire. In 1998, she also took the role of office manager. Additionally, since 2007, Joanne handles litigation for Jay Shor, Esquire. Joanne has an associate degree from Manor Junior College and is a graduate of Nazareth Academy High School.

 

Yvette began working for Shor, Levin & DeRita in May 1999. Fluent in Spanish, she is the litigation secretary for David P. Rovner, Esquire. Yvette is a graduate of Olney High School.

 

Since 2001 Evelyn has been a legal secretary in the law firm of Shor, Levin & DeRita. She handles litigation for Roger C. McMenamin, Esquire, and David P. Rovner, Esquire. Fluently bilingual in Spanish, Evelyn serves as a translator at the firm. She has informed many injured Hispanic workers of their workers’ compensation rights.

 

Evelyn graduated from the Department of Defense Schools and served in the United States Air Force as a Command and Control Specialist at Hickam Air Force Base and as a medical technician in the Air Force Reserves at McGuire Air Force Base.

 

 

Debbie has worked full time for Shor, Levin & DeRita since May 2002 where she began as receptionist and now works as legal secretary for Attorney Larry Levin. She also handles the workers’ compensation cases that are going through settlement. In addition, together with Michele she helps to plan the firm’s annual client and staff summer events. Debbie received her bachelor’s degree in international studies from Lock Haven University in 1999. Outside of work, she stays busy raising three small children with her husband, Mark.

 

Penny joined the Shor, Levin & DeRita law firm in 2003 as receptionist. She has the pleasure of greeting clients and inputting their information into the database. Penny also assists the paralegals with numerous tasks. She attended Temple University’s Tyler School of Art studying graphic design then joined Morgan Stanley Dean Witter as a sales assistant before joining the law firm.

 

Carrie has been employed by Shor, Levin & DeRita since October 2005. She works with Roger McMenamin, Esquire, performing various duties. Carrie attended the University of Delaware where she graduated with a bachelor’s degree in political science in 2002. After graduation, Carrie earned her post baccalaureate paralegal certificate at Manor College. She graduated from Jenkintown High School in 1998.

 

Michele began working at Shor, Levin & DeRita, P.C., in June 1992 as a legal secretary for Jay Shor, Esquire. She is currently working part time as a legal secretary for Larry Levin, Esquire. Michele also handles the client relations department as well as the firm’s client and staff summer appreciation events. When not working part time, Michele is home raising her four young children. She attended Manor Junior College and is a graduate of Bishop McDevitt High School in Wyncote, Pennsylvania.

 

Lori worked in legal defense for 13 years prior to being hired at Shor, Levin & DeRita, P.C. Lori has been employed since February 2004 and works in the personal injury department for Joseph DeRita, Esquire, and Roger McMenamin, Esquire. She attended Pierce College and is a graduate of St. Hubert’s High School.

 

In September 2005, Margaret was hired by Shor, Levin & DeRita as a part-time paralegal/legal secretary. She received her associate degree from Philadelphia Community College and her paralegal certificate from the American Institute for Paralegal Studies. After graduation, she worked ten years as a workers' compensation, medical malpractice, and personal injury paralegal for a small defense firm.
